Terms of use

Last updated 1 Oct 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By using the platform, or by creating an account on it, you agree to these terms and to the community guidelines. If you do not agree with them, do not use the platform.

These terms govern your use of the platform generally, while the community guidelines govern what is published in reviews. The two are read together.

Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement under the law applicable where you live, and you must use the platform for a legitimate academic or informational purpose.

  • If you are under eighteen, use the platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
  • The platform is not an admissions body for any university, not a registration intermediary, and not a substitute for the official study plan or your faculty's student affairs office.
  • An account is personal. It may not be transferred or shared, and you may not create more than one account for the same person to get around limits on writing.

Your account and your responsibility

You are responsible for your account and for everything done through it.

  • Provide a valid email address you can access, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Nobody on the platform's team will ever ask you for it.
  • Sign out on shared devices, and do not leave your session open on a lab machine or a borrowed phone.
  • If you see a sign-in you cannot account for, tell us at once and change your password; changing it revokes every existing session.
  • Accounts are suspended, or writing is restricted on them, when these terms or the community guidelines are broken. The reason is recorded.

Acceptable use

Reading, searching and writing from your own experience are permitted. Anything beyond that is not:

  • No attempt to reach another user's data or the moderator areas, no probing or circumventing of permissions, and no exploiting a vulnerability before telling us about it.
  • No bulk automated collection of content (scraping), no extracting listings, and no use of student content or platform interfaces to build another product.
  • No automated or mass submission of reviews, and no evading the rate limit by switching between accounts.
  • No impersonating another person, a student at a university you never attended, or the platform itself.
  • No content that breaks the law applicable in Libya: no defamation, threats or incitement, and nothing that endangers national security or public order.
  • Nothing that disrupts the platform or harms other users.

Content ownership and licence

The text of your review remains yours. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it, display it, make it available to visitors, and include it in the platform's pages and search results, for the operation of the platform, for as long as the review is published. That licence ends when the review is deleted.

By submitting a review you confirm that it comes from your own experience, that it is not copied from another source, that you have the right to publish it, and that the facts in it are accurate to the best of your knowledge.

In return we may present it: excerpting part of it on search cards, ordering reviews and showing review counts, hiding anything that breaks the guidelines, and translating headings for technical purposes — without changing the substance of your view.

University names, cities and other public data are public information that nobody owns. The design of the platform, its compiled database and the way reviews are presented belong to the platform.

The platform's name and logo may not be used without written permission, and nothing may suggest a partnership with, or official endorsement by, the platform where none has actually been granted.

Reviews are opinions, not statements of fact

Every review you read is one student's personal opinion. It is not an official statement, not an expert report and not a legal finding, and it does not represent the platform's team or any university or authority.

Ratings are a self-selected sample of those who chose to write, not a survey of all students and not a representative statistic. A rating should always be read with the number of reviews behind it and the semester it was written in.

A low rating is not defamation, and a review written with respect stays published even when most readers disagree with it. Equally, anything that breaks the community guidelines is not published even when its author is describing something truthfully.

No guarantee of accuracy in community content

The directory and the reviews are provided "as is" and as available. You may find an outdated name, an affiliation that has changed, a wrong course code, a record that has not been updated, or a review describing a past semester whose teaching staff has since changed.

  • Always check the official study plan and your student affairs office before any registration decision.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from error, or immunity from attempts at abuse.
  • We do not review everything the moment it is posted, and we cannot guarantee that a violation is found unless it is reported.

Moderation rights

We reserve the right to publish, reject, temporarily hide or remove content, to suspend an account or restrict its ability to write, and to change the platform or discontinue any part of it. Every such decision is recorded with its reason.

We do not undertake to publish any particular content, nor to explain a publication or rejection decision publicly; the author is told the reason where that is possible, and may appeal as set out in the community guidelines.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity, lost benefit or reputational harm arising from your use of the platform, from any inability to use it, or from your reliance on content contributed by other students.

We are not responsible for what users publish or for their breaches of these terms, but we do act when offending content is reported.

Nothing in these terms removes a legal right that cannot be waived, or exempts us from a liability that cannot be excluded.

Changes to these terms and governing law

We may update these terms as the platform or the law changes; the date at the top of the page shows the version in force. A substantive change is announced on the site before it takes effect.

Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the new version; if you do not accept it, stop using the platform, and you may ask for your account to be deleted.

These terms are interpreted and applied under the laws in force in Libya, without affecting any mandatory rule that protects a consumer or user in their own country.
